Taking reference from MCCY’s advisory, “PHASE TWO- HEIGHTENED ALERT ENHANCED PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES FOR RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES'', and ArchComms’ advisory to parishes and all archdiocesan organisations, “PHASE TWO: HEIGHTENED ALERT”, both dated 15 May 2021, guidelines suggested by OFC with regards to catechesis for children, youth and adults can be found HERE

[07 May 2021] Catechesis for Children, Youth and Adults in Phase 3 with Enhanced Measures
Taking reference from “ Moving into Phase Three of Re-opening for Religious activities” announced on 26 Dec 2020 by MCCY as well as some of the measures put in place by the Ministry of Education (Singapore), please find attached the following guidelines suggested by OFC with regards to catechesis for children, youth and Adults in Phase 3.

[17 Apr 2020] Suspension Of Face-To-Face Catechesis Until Further Notice

In view of the recent circuit breaker measures in place, please note the suspension of face-to-face catechesis remains in effect until further notice. We would also like to address the recent concerns over security issues with the use of online platforms such as Zoombombing, and enhanced security features on Zoom.

[29 Jan 2020] Further Guidelines For Prayer Spaces To Help Prevent Or Minimise The Spread Of COVID-19

In addition to the Health Advisory issued by the Ministry of Health (Singapore)Chancery Notice CHN/CN/2020/004 as well as the Leave of Absence (LOA) measures put in place by the Ministry of Education (Singapore), please CLICK HERE for further guidelines suggested by OFC to help prevent or minimise the spread of the 2019-Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) to catechetical members and candidates in the prayer spaces.


To guard against nCoV, we urge all involved in catechetical ministries as well as parents and candidates to remain vigilant and step up precautionary measures at home and in the prayer spaces by reinforcing personal and environmental hygiene. In the meantime, OFC will continue to monitor the relevant developments and promptly revise guidelines to take account of the latest developments, when necessary.
