The Office for Catechesis of the Archdiocese of Singapore provides training and formation for Catechists and those involved in Catechetical ministries including parish-based Children's and Youth Catechesis, Home-based Catechesis, RCIA and Special Needs Catechesis. [read more]


[UPDATE - 10 FEB 2020 ] With the 2019-Novel Coronavirus situation evolving, please note that the following sessions organised by OFC in February are postponed:

  • BCC - Scripture
  • BCC - Morality 
  • RCIA: Workshop 3 - The Pastoral Aspects in the Mystagogical Period  
  • Bridging Programme - Parent Formation Session 1  
  • CCW - Planning FR/FHC Retreat

Registration for courses from March onward will continue. However, do note the possibility that sessions may be suspended or postponed on a short notice following further advisory by the Ministry of Health and/or the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore. Participants are advised to check their emails for further notification concerning the status of the course they registered for.

        [29 Jan 2020] In addition to the Health Advisory issued by the Ministry of Health (Singapore), Chancery Notice CHN/CN/2020/004 as well as the Leave of Absence (LOA) measures put in place by the Ministry of Education (Singapore), please click HERE for further guidelines suggested by OFC to help prevent or minimise the spread of the 2019-Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) to catechetical members and candidates in the prayer spaces.

        To guard against nCoV, we urge all involved in catechetical ministries as well as parents and candidates to remain vigilant and step up precautionary measures at home and in the prayer spaces by reinforcing personal and environmental hygiene. In the meantime, OFC will continue to monitor the relevant developments and promptly revise guidelines to take account of the latest developments, when necessary.
