In this basic course, catechists will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of liturgical worship in our lives as Christian disciples as well as how liturgy celebrates both the paschal mystery of God and our relationship with Him.
The module cover the following topics
Introduction to the Eucharist, covering the history of the Mass, its sacrificial nature, and why it matters to Catholics today
Semitic Roots of the Eucharist
Memorial: Christ’s Action Realising Semitic Hope
Kerygma: Doxology of the Eucharist
Parousia: The Lord’s Prayer & Being Sent Forth
The course seeks to help catechists appreciate rituals and symbols as expressions of the way the church enters into the mystery of Christ.

Liturgy: The Mass is one of six modules for the Basic Course in Catechesis (BCC), the recommended basic requirements for all catechists, including Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), home-based and special needs catechists.

Notwithstanding the waiver of contribution fee, participants are required to register for all courses and events to assist us in the booking of appropriate rooms, the printing of materials and arrangement of tea and snacks, etc. In the event of foreseeable no-shows, we encourage participants to inform the office in advance to help prevent wastage of resources.
