Prayer is rightly understood as the fourth pillar of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, because faith is not merely something we believe, celebrate, or live - it is ultimately a living relationship with God. The mystery of faith, professed in the Creed, celebrated in the sacraments, and lived in the Christian moral life, calls us into "a vital and personal relationship with the living and true God. This relationship is prayer" (CCC 2558).

Christian prayer is described as "a covenant relationship between God and man in Christ" (CCC 2564) and fundamentally a gift from God. As catechists, we are called to be people who pray, so that catechesis flows from our own communion with the Lord.

Therefore, the three sessions will include:

• Session 1: Intro to Prayer and Prayer as a Gift

• Session 2: Prayer as Covenant

• Session 3: Prayer as Communion
